Drama

Our mission is to lead people into the presence of God through transformational worship.  Drama is one way this is accomplished by presenting quality drama that entertains, encourages introspection and effectively communicates the message being delivered.

Our drama team is called Acts for Him. They are a core group of actors committed to honing their craft with the vision of developing working and personal relationships. They meet once a week for 2 hours of training and fellowship. Each session includes warm-ups, a focus (for example…scene study or monologue or improvisation) and fellowship time.

Acts for Him  participate in several different areas…sketches for the Worship Services at both campuses, sketches for other ministry areas, and outreach.

How do I get involved?

To participate in Acts for Him, everyone must go through the annual audition process.  For the actors chosen to participate, it is a year-long commitment...and a pretty hefty one at that. Acts for Him  meets weekly for 2 hours for training and fellowship. In addition to the group meetings, actors cast in a sketch, have additional rehearsal time in the days before a Sunday morning Worship Service or other event.

But wait! There's more...

You do not have to be a member of Acts for Him  to participate with the Drama Ministry…

We also have a group of Drama Volunteers. Our volunteers are made up of past auditioners and former Acts for Him members, as well as newcomers to our church who are looking to get involved. We call on our volunteers as often as possible to work on sketches, large series and video projects. This is a great area for people new to theatre looking to get their feet a little wet.
